As a NZQA authorised Driving Instructor, I hold the required Instructor endorsement.
I’m also a member of NZIDE- NZ Institute of Driver Educators. We have access to
other driving mentors and best practice driving and instruction techniques in NZ and
Internationally.
A Driving Instructor is required to have an excellent understanding of the NZ road
rules and be competent demonstrating safe driving Techniques.
I am familiar with the requirements for the Restricted and Full driver licence tests and
will instruct you on all the common errors made by learner drivers.
I have extensive driving experience – over 1.5 million km throughout NZ and Europe,
including 14 years as a NZ Police driver.
Our vehicle is also fitted with an additional brake pedal – in the passenger’s side of
the car, for use by the instructor when required for safety of the learner driver and
other road users.
An instructor is patient and non-judgemental. Sometimes, expecting a parent or
other experienced driver to regularly teach a learner driver, can be demanding and
for many people, a daunting task.
